PTA Reflections Winners:

Visions Competition- High school competition sponsored by Marymount U. and open to all Northern VA:

2022- Wakefield Artist graces the cover,
3 Artist’s work featured inside magazine

10th Annual Artists on the Rise Juried Art Show– Open to all students in the VA, MD, DC area:
2022- 2 Honorable Mentions

Congressional Arts Competition- Open to all students in the 8th Congressional district:
2020- Overall Winner (Art is displayed in the US Capitol for 1 year)
2021- Overall Winner (Art is displayed in the US Capitol for 1 year)

Scholastic Art Competition Regional Awards:
2021- 285 Individual Awards, 30 Portfolio, 3 out of 5 American Visions Awards (Best in Show)
2022- 247 Individual Awards, 16 Portfolio, 2 out of 5 American Visions Awards (Best in Show)

Scholastic Art Competition National Awards:
2021- 8 National Medals (out of only 3600 National Medals awarded from every HS in the US)
2022- TBD!

AP Art and Design Portfolio Recognition:
2021- A Wakefield Student achieved a Perfect Score on her AP Exam Portfolio (Advanced Placement® Exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. She not only received the top score of 5 but was also one of only 219 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Drawing Exam, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the exam).
