Hello! I’m the ASL teacher here at Wakefield.  Born and raised in Washington, DC.  I’ve lived in two big cities: NYC and Los Angeles for all together 16 years before coming back home in 2007. Obviously, I’m a DC girl! My interest is theater.  I was born to perform and I love it! My most recent theatrical project that I directed was LOOK THROUGH MY EYE at Baltimore Theatre Project in 2016.  Currently, I’m directing A RAISIN IN THE SUN at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC which will open in April, 2018.  My other passion is teaching and I enjoy watching my students learn my naïve language, American Sign Language, be able to communicate in ASL, and immerse in Deaf culture.   That’s the beauty of teaching ASL!
