Introduction of Ms. Reema Chawla–English Language Learner Department

B03F2C8F-BCEF-4269-9DCF-5CAE7803FDC9
Being an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher in the English Language Development (ELD) team at Wakefield High School, I will work closely with ELD 4 students teaching them the English 10 curriculum during periods  6 and 7. Additionally, I will be teaching ELD 1 English and Reading during periods 1 and 2.

I have a Master’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s plus 30 credits in TESOL, Education, and Classroom management. This is my 5th year in Arlington Public Schools as an educator. I truly and genuinely enjoy the diverse and equitable background Wakefield offers. Being married for 24 years, I am blessed with a son, who is a TJMS alumnus and presently goes to Wakefield High School.

Enjoying table tennis is not only one hobby I have, but exploring and learning about new educational sites and technology is something I feel excited about, other than watching American and Indian shows and movies.

Hailing from a background of educators, my mother was a principal for 42 years and my sister-in-law is a Physics teacher, I understand and strongly believe in the value of teaching and learning through building relationships!

Welcome back, students!
