Wakefield High School Poets Shine!

We’re thrilled to announce that rising 11th graders Theo Fusarelli, MacKayla Natalini, and Amiah Whitted have been named winners of the 2025 Arlington County Moving Words Poetry Competition!

Their powerful poems will be featured inside Arlington ART buses this fall, bringing creativity and inspiration to thousands of daily commuters.

A special shoutout to Rosana Wahdat, also a rising 11th grader, who earned an honorable mention for her outstanding work.

These students’ poems will also be published on the Arlington County Cultural Affairs website, joining a legacy of young voices making poetry part of everyday life.

Let’s celebrate their talent, imagination, and the beauty of words in motion!
