Wakefield High School Students Earn National Awards For Community Service Impact

Three students from Wakefield High School have been honored by the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) and InnerView in the eighth Annual Community Service Impact Awards. This recognition highlights their dedication to community service and commitment to the Global Goals. The Kroger Co. also presented the Zero Hero Awards to students for their efforts in creating communities free of hunger and waste.

Rachel Bowen Pittman, Executive Director of UNA-USA, emphasized the importance of youth in driving change and advancing the Global Goals. Kristine Sturgeon, CEO of InnerView Technologies, praised the students for their empathy, innovation, and impact.

The award program helps students develop a digital service resume, showcasing their commitment and skills. This year, Alexander Epstein received the Honor Award, while Malcolm Epstein and Kiara Ferrufino Uyeno earned the Merit Award.
