Wakefield’s First-Ever Girls State Wrestling Champion

We are excited to announce that our very own senior, Cameron Millsapps (pictured far left), has made history by winning the VHSL Girls State Championship, becoming Wakefield’s first-ever girls state champion!

Cameron, a second-year wrestler competing at 152 lbs., showcased her incredible talent and determination by dominating the Girls State Tournament. She pinned all three of her opponents, finishing the season with an impeccable 28-0 record.

This remarkable achievement comes in just the third season of our girls’ wrestling program.

Read more about Cameron’s outstanding performance in The Washington Post (third story down).

Congratulations, Cameron! We are so proud of you!
