The Wakefield Robotics team, consisting of Greyson Schroeher, Quinn Zoeller, August Daschke, and Zach Tescher, made history by winning the VEX V5 Challenge. This year’s competition, titled High Stakes, challenged students to design, build, and program robots to complete specific tasks. VEX Robotics competitions change each year, requiring students to adapt and develop solutions to meet the season’s challenges. The competition features VEXCode, a coding environment that supports students at different skill levels as they program their robots.

The 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship will take place from May 6-8 in Dallas, TX, bringing together top teams from around the world. This prestigious event is the culmination of months of hard work, creativity, and dedication from our students. Our team is overjoyed by this achievement; however, attending the championship requires significant financial resources. We are currently seeking donors and sponsors to help cover the costs of travel, accommodations, meals, transportation, and other necessary expenses.
The success of Wakefield Robotics and other STEM-focused clubs is made possible by the AWS Think Big Space and Ralph Johnson, providing students with the resources to innovate and explore. Your donation or sponsorship will provide our students with invaluable experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), while helping them develop critical skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership. This experience will serve as a steppingstone for many team members as they pursue future academic and career opportunities.

Once there, click the yellow “Donate” button and then use the dropdown menu to select “Amazon Innovation Lab Fund”.
