Wakefield Artists Sweep 1st, 2nd and 3rd in this Year’s MLK Art Contest!

Wakefield students have swept 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Visual Arts Category of this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Virtual Literary & Visual Arts Contest.This year’s prompt, “Describe through visual arts how you are contributing to your community and how individuals can make a difference through acts of kindness in the spirit of Dr. King’s vision” is timely and speaks to all of us.  The Wakefield Art Department is proud to announce that our winners showed this vision in their works of art and share it with you:

2nd – Landon Thomas, Wakefield High School, 12th Grade “Acceptance for All”
3rd – McCarley Keish, Wakefield High School, 11th Grade “Peace Love and Music Throughout our City”
