Garden Club Sponsor, Lisa LaBella, would like to invite you all to pay a visit to Lucas’ Place, the Wakefield garden, while there is still fruit on the vine! Take a few minutes for some mindfulness meditation and communion with nature; you may see the deer family peering out of the woods or a chipmunk stealing tomatoes (they don’t like the jalapenos!). Feel free to nibble on a few tomatoes, smell the sage and basil a take a jalapeno or two. We still have kale, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, okra, red chile peppers, basil, oregano, and a few straggler green beans on the plants. Most importantly, enjoy the peace of the place, sit on the bench which was donated by the Guajardo family, and savor the quiet.
