Alternate Testing Schedule on Tuesday, September 10

Dear Warrior Students, Families, and Friends, Please mark your calendars for a very important testing date that will have an impact for non-testing students. On Tuesday, September 10, we will be administering the NWEA MAP Testing (Reading) to all students in grades 9 and 10 (as well as a select few students in grades 11 and 12). The results of this assessment help identify students who need additional support and inform the reading intervention plans we develop. To ensure all students are able to put forth their best effort, we will have an alternate testing schedule (details below).

Time Details
8:20 am – 11:00 am NWEA MAP testing for all ninth and tenth grade students
11:20 am – 3:10 pm All students attend class periods 5 and 7.

Based on the testing schedule above:

  • Students taking the test should arrive at school at the normal time.
  • Non-testing students may report to school for the start of class at 11:20am.
  • Any student who relies on morning APS bus transportation should ride the bus at the regularly scheduled time as students will have access to quiet study areas in the school while testing takes place.
  • Non-testing students who attend Arlington Career Center classes in the morning should still report to their regularly scheduled class at the Arlington Career Center.
