2020 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Literary & Visual Arts Contest

The focus and theme for this year’s contest is peace. Dr. King emphasizes the need to fight violence and hate with peace and love in his “I Have a Dream” speech. Students are asked to describe in writing why is peace important to you?  Visual Arts participants will describe through visual arts how you can communicate peace. I look forward to seeing the awesome submissions this year.

Essays, poems and art entries are due on Friday, December 20th, and the winners will be announced January 6th via all APS social media platforms. Winners will also be recognized in a video tribute at the School Board meeting on Thursday, January 23.
