Latinas Leading Tomorrow is a non-profit organization created to address the growing needs of young, first generation, college bound Latinas and provide Latina role models, professionals from the DC metro area to guide them through the process. One component of the organization is their after-school programs. They are a structured leadership and mentoring after-school program designed to encourage a strong sense of Latina identity and a desire for academic achievement, leadership, and investment in community service. The program imparts skills to promote team building, help unify the school community, and maximizes the members’ access to academic and enrichment opportunities. C.O.R.E.’s overarching objective is to decrease the achievement gap among Latinas and empower them to graduate high school and complete a post-secondary degree.
For the 2020-2021 school year, LLT will meet virtually every other Thursday 3:15pm-4:15pm starting October 8, 2020
